    Hi. I have an insurence @ Unity have have recently been in two accidents where I hade to claim through my insurce and was only ended up paying my own bill @ the end of the day in both acciidents I was inocent and was left feeling like the one resposible for the accident. Non of the accidents I was involved in payed out. In the first accident case they told me they cannot get a hold of the driver and that they cannot help me in the second case I tried to claim and my insurence told me it is better to fix it on my own cause my acces is more then what I will pay to fix my car. Now it is only one story after an nother. So tell me one thing y Do we have insurence if all they want is our money! Can anyone help I need a new insurence

    Good Morning

    I am with budget insurance for 3 years and 4 months. I have never claimed for any accidents. I do not receive any documents from them. I started with an installment of R446 +- and now paying R710.00 per month. I have put in a claim for my car to be repaired as I struck a bird. All of a sudden my access is R3225.00 as it was not this high when accepted the policy. My quotation that I received from the panelbeaters is R5431.51 and i have to pay R3225.00 from that. I think that is definitely unfair as my premium is high already and I have to pay so much as the insurance is left with the R2206.65. WHY DO YOU HAVE INSURANCE IF YOU HAVE TO PAY THAT TYPE OF MONEY!!Where do your money go as I worked out that I have already paid +- R23000.00 in the last 3yr and 4 months.

    I ahve had insurance with Auto& General for about 32 months and have not ahd a claim until recently when my
    vehicle went over hill at a parking space.I am now being told that i did not disclose my previous accident claim i was not the drive at that time it was my company vehicle and my driver was responsible.Is there any possibility that i can overturn there descion.

    Hi there

    I just recently moved car insurers as my previous insurer increased my premium and would not look at a better premium.
    I moved across to the new insurance company as of the 1st Feb 2013. I have since been paying my premiums and paid the once off joining fee.
    Prior to this I have been with insurance companies on and off since 2002, but listed as a regular driver under my mom’s name as I would get penalized with my age.
    The vehicle was mine and I paid the premiums but to my parents each month. Now when I moved to this new insurer I stated I had 7 years comprehensive insurance previously and have never claimed.

    I have never been in an accident. On the 4th March I was driving home in peak hour traffic and traffic was moving slowly and I accidently bumped into the lady in front of me.
    I have my statement to my insurance company and made a statement at the police. Now today, the 14th March I get a call from my Insurance company, they are wanting to reject my claim as it was not 7 years insurance in my name and I was not a regular driver on my moms policy. My mom sent through all the proof to them showing that even though it was in her name I was a regular driver and showed them proof of all the policies and all the info we had.
    They said they would just reject the claim and pay my premiums back, but surely they are also legally bound to the contract and can’t just walk away? And all these insurers form part of the same umbrella company being Telesure. If they reject the claim then I have to pay for both cars to be fixed and I don’t know what the cost of the damages are and I don’t know my rights and what to do…..

    I am insured with Virgin Money Insurance and I had an accident on 28/06/2013 with a car that i registered my wife as the regular driver in
    I find it pathetic that Virgin Money Insurance has rejected my claim on which the investigator was “Insisting” that i am the regular driver because the address registered on the policy where the car usually parked during the day is mine.

    I explained as per below:

    “Vehicle(A) insured with Virgin Money Insurance is financed, registered under me and my wife registered as the regular driver and me as a secondary driver but we are not staying together.

    My address is registered as where the car is kept or parked most of the time on the policy and my wife stays with her mother 40% of the at a different address but stays at my house 60% of the time until our house we are building is ready in about a month time.

    My wife and i work at the same company so we travel together with the other car(B) which is registered and insured under her and I use her car(B) to picked her up most of the time and car(A) is mostly used on Weekends”.

    I was advised that my claim was rejected as my wife & i confirmed that she is not the regular driver. “STILL WAITING FOR THE VOICE RECORDINGS CONFIRMING THIS BUT HAVEN’T BEEN SENT YET”

    Good day,
    I submitted an insurance claim to Standard Bank towards end of June and I have been ushing for an outcome for almost 2 months.Yersterday, I recieved a call from Standard bank informating me that my claim was rejected because I did not report the issue to the police. Some one hit my car and never stopped. Standard bank send they internal invetigators to take a statement from me and I explained the same. It took them 2 months to tell me the claim was rejected becoz of I did nto report the issue to the police. I dont remember seeing any terms and conditions saying this in the insurance certificate I recieved.

    King price rejected my claim because i was black listed. upon asking me at the beginning of the sales call i was not aware i had any judgements. After submitting a claim, they checked ITC and saw 2 judgements. kicked me off the insurance and quickly refunded me.
    i now cannot get insurance anywhere else. What do i do and why was my ITC record not checked before they signed me up and accepted my money.
